Description

Milford Lake provides 15,600 surface acres of water and 163 miles of shoreline making it the largest lake in Kansas. With its clear water and miles of natural sand beaches it is a popular recreational spot for thousands of visitors from Kansas and other states. The Corps of Engineers, along with state, county, and city governments, operates and maintains eleven public parks. Visitors can experience various points of interests such as the Milford Fish Hatchery and Nature Center, Corps Visitor Center, the School Creek ORV area, and the Kansas Landscape Arboretum. With over 23,000 acres of public hunting land, some of the best fishing areas in the state and numerous recreational opportunities; it is no wonder Milford Lake is the favorite playground for more than 1/2 million visitors a year. If you wish to camp at Milford Lake you can make a reservation for the Curtis Creek or Rolling Hills campgrounds by calling 1-877-444-6777.

Basic Directions

Milford Lake is located just north of Interstate 70 about 65 miles west of Topeka. From Topeka take I-70 West to Exit 295, then north on US 77 for 4 miles to K-57. Then turn left on K-57 and go 1.5 miles to the Milford Lake Information Center.
