Mississippi River town, Hannibal, was the hometown of Mark Twain, but in addition to literary sights find here ample opportunity to boat, fish, hike, bike or cruise as needed.
This may not be the rockiest trail in Colorado, but it is an extremely muddy one. Come prepared to extract your vehicle - the wetness is the challenge here, if you can bypass the boggiest parts. Trees line this trail on either side. This is in the Roosevelt National Forest, after all.

From Fort Collins
Take Highway 14 westward for 60 miles.
Take a right onto CR 103 and continue to Lost Lake.
You'll find the trailhead for Green Ridge Trail in the northern part of the parking lot.
