Description

Cliff Drive has the distinction of being the only Missouriscenic byway located in an urban area. The corridor passes rightthrough Kansas City, in scenic and historic George E. Kessler Park.The drive is significant for its historic and naturalqualities.

Cliff Drive preserves natural features unique to this portion ofthe Missouri River Valley. Some of these features include limestonebluffs, natural vegetation, and wildlife. These features areparticularly unusual because they are located immediately adjacentto the city core, within a heavily urbanized environment.

Carl DiCapo Fountain (MO)

Installed in 1989, the fountain is made to look like a waterfall and set in a style as old as the 100-year old Kessler Park.
