Mississippi River town, Hannibal, was the hometown of Mark Twain, but in addition to literary sights find here ample opportunity to boat, fish, hike, bike or cruise as needed.
This building is the birthplace of 3M. In 1902, five businessmen embarked on a mining venture and laid the foundation for a successful global corporation. Exhibits include: Attorney John Dwam's recreated office; a history of the company including photos, artifacts and documents; a lab; and hands-on interactive programs and technology applications. The original office building has been restored and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
